The Nest sets its rates using a sliding scale model. This balances recognizing what this work is worth, while knowing that the families and children The Nest most wants to support are not always able to pay that cost. The Nest’s sliding-scale has been adapted from All Out Adventures in Northampton, MA.
Choosing your Sliding Scale Rate
Subsidized: Choose this price if you have a fixed income or income below $20k, you live in subsidized housing or spend more than 1/3 of your monthly income on rent, and have little to no income to spend on anything other than basic necessities. You may also wish to choose this rate if you have significant long term medical or caregiving expenses.
Breakeven: This rate allows The Nest to keep offering services – nothing more, nothing less! Choose this price if you have any income level or financial situation.
Supporter: Choose this price if you have an individual income over $75k or family income over $100k, you own a home or are close to fully paying off a home, you have a decent amount of expendable income (you can afford new clothes or a vacation sometimes), or benefit from generational wealth. Your support helps The Nest offer subsidized rates to another family in need!
Sustainer: Choose this price if you have an individual income over $100k or family income over $250k, you own a home, have significant expendable income (you can afford new clothes or a vacation easily), or benefit from generational wealth. Your support helps The Nest offer subsidized rates to one-two families in need.

The Nest is aware of and fighting against many structural inequities in our world- if you are a family of color, a parent under the age of 21, a single parent, have a disabled or delayed child, or experience any other barriers to care based on income, housing status, disability, race, culture, gender, sexuality, etc and you need a discounted rate for care, please let us know and we can be in conversation.
